NEXT GAMEFEB 10
A fully staffed WFTDA sanctioned flat-track roller derby bout requires at least 18 volunteer officials to run. Each person plays a core part in ensuring that safe, fair game play occurs.
Roller Derby Skating Officials are the primary officials who call penalties.
There are as many as 8 Skating Officials on the track at all times. There’s no better way to learn the rules of roller derby than to be a part of the officials crew.
Non-Skating Officials, NSOs, are the backbone of any officials crew.
As the name implies, NSOs take on the officiating positions that don’t involve being on skates.
No experience is needed to become involved with the officiating side of roller derby. ICT Roller Girls will teach you everything you need to know.
